How could a seed travel?
A seed does not need legs to move.
Take your time. Speak, draw or write your answers.
Here is what is happening.
Seeds can move in different ways. Some are carried by wind, water or animals; others fall near the parent plant. Looking at a seed may suggest a way it could travel, but one clue does not identify every seed. Use pictures or familiar fallen seeds chosen by an adult.
Pause. Make the idea your own.
Explain one idea to a partner, draw it or write it in your own words. Which part is an observation, an example or a question?

What you need
Paper and a pencil, or a partner to talk with. Drawing and speaking are welcome.
Draw an imagined light seed with a wing-like shape.
Use arrows to show a possible wind journey.
Draw a heavier seed falling nearby and compare the two journeys.
