One water, many forms
Where did the water on a wet plate go?

Here is what is happening.
Water can be solid ice, liquid water or water vapour, a gas. Evaporation changes liquid into vapour; condensation changes vapour into liquid. Water vapour itself is invisible.
Your little investigation
What you need
A plate, a few drops of water and paper. No flame or hot water.
Spread a few drops on a plate. Draw what you see.
Leave it in a safe place and check later; drying time varies.
Draw arrows between ice, water and vapour. Name the changes you know.
Water vapour becomes liquid droplets. What is this called?
