Here is what is happening.
A ratio compares quantities in a stated order. If a paper recipe uses 2 cups of juice to 3 cups of water, the ratio is 2:3. Multiplying both by the same factor keeps that ratio.

What you need
Paper and pencil. This is a maths recipe; no food preparation needed.
Draw a table for juice and water: 2 and 3.
Make batches twice and three times as large.
Check each pair by dividing both values by their common factor.
