A food web has more than one path.

Here is what is happening.
A food chain shows one route of feeding relationships; a food web combines several. In our diagram arrows go from food to consumer, showing the direction of energy transfer. Real diets vary, so a simple diagram is only a model.

What you need
Paper and a pencil. Use this imagined field; do not feed wild animals.
Draw grass → grasshopper → bird.
Add seeds → bird and grass → rabbit to make more connections.
Predict one possible effect of fewer plants. Label it as a prediction.
