Useful feedback is specific
Help someone improve one part of the work.
Here is what is happening.
Helpful feedback describes what you noticed, explains its effect and suggests a next step. “The labels are hard to read from here; could they be larger?” is more actionable than “bad poster”. Ask whether feedback is welcome and recognise what already works.
Pause. Make the idea your own.
Explain one idea to a partner, draw it or write it in your own words. Which part is an observation, an example or a question?
You can use a home language. No need to share personal experiences or finish everything in one sitting.Your little investigation
Paper and a pencil, or a partner to talk with. Drawing and speaking are welcome.
Choose an imaginary poster with small labels and a clear title.
Write one strength and one specific improvement.
Rewrite the feedback as a respectful question the maker can consider.
